driver: Carlos Lucero

co-driver: Francisco Lucero

Mud rain and the wrath of god could not stop the FLat4motorsports 2002 subaru impreza. Torrential rain and winds threatened to close the event ,but this is Colorado where "If you dont like the weather .. wait 5 minutes.

The track dried out or should we say we dried the track out, and the race started with mud in most of the big sweeper turns. Race officials decided to run the rally cars first by saying " we will send the rally guys out and see what kind of mud they kick up.." . Flat4 team driver Carlos Lucero responded by saying "were ready !"

Cars were lined up in the 98 degree morning sun and staging began . The first rally car out hit the muds in the sprint track and was out for the rest of the day with mechanical issues.

The battle was still on for first. Pushing over the rivers and threw thew the muds Flat4 qualified for first place with a time of 6:03.65 .
Then it was time for a much less muddy second run. Less mud meant higher speeds. After a tire change and a splash guard replacement flat 4 was ready for the second run.

The lower sections of the track were nice and dry so speeds were up and flat4 was headed for the win. At the end of the day it was Flat4 for the win with a time of 5:51.07.

Flat4motorsports would like to thank our friends and family for the love and support !! we could not have done it without you !
